This is Stuart Sutcliffe's original watercolor painting of a dockside scene. The line work is tense and bold with black outlines forming the figures and the surrounding structures. Stuart uses shadowy dark blue as his foundation color, then works in highlights of cadmium yellow, pink and white giving us a realistic sense of ‘daylight.’ The painting is rich with color, texture and it’s composition is skillfully balanced. Painting is done on heavy stock art paper,. Measures 30 x 22.
