John Lennon owned and worn "JL" initial silver cufflinks and tip clip set. From the personal collection of renowned booking agent and promotional manager Irwin Pate. For over four decades he promoted talent all over the United States and internationally. During his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. Irwin had met John Lennon several time and Irwin booked and promoted a few of the venues that Lennon played. During a meeting in Greenwich Village in the 1970's Irwin told John about his collection of memorabilia, and John subsequently gifted Irwin this set of silver cufflinks and tie clip, with his initials "JL" on them. Very good condition. Irwin Pate passed away in May 2018, and this set comes with a letter of provenance from Irwin's wife Clarine Pate on Pate Booking Agency letterhead and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
