Elvis Presley owned and worn brown leather boots. From the personal collection of renowned booking agent and promotional manager Irwin Pate. For over four decades he promoted talent all over the United States and internationally. During his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. Irwin knew Elvis Presley and was good friends with his manager Colonel Tom Parker. Irwin worked with Elvis and the Colonel several times over the years before Elvis passed away. Irwin obtained these Elvis Presley owned and worn boots from the Colonel in the late 1970's, after Elvis had passed away. Elvis had worn the boots in the early 1970's. The Colonel gifted Irwin some articles that belonged to Elvis after Irwin told him that he was a collector. The boots have been in the possession of the Pates up to the time of this auction. Irwin Pate passed away in May of 2018, and these boots come with a letter of provenance from his wife Clarine Pate on Pate Booking Agency letterhead. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
