An incredible custom guitar created by Fender’s manufacturing facility as a rare piece in Rolling Stone’s lore. A custom, limited production 2008 Rolling Stones Fender Telecaster “Shine a Light” promotional guitar with serial # Z8007656. Based on the success with the previous Rolling Stones limited production guitars (Let It Bleed and Beggar's Banquet), created by the Fender Custom Shop, executive producer — the late Steve Bing - contacted Fender to see if they could create a Limited Edition guitar featuring the Martin Scorsese Rolling Stones documentary “Shine a Light” poster art. The Fender team created 14 total with the Fender Executive in charge receiving one, keeping the prototype. Fender never offered any to the public at retail. This is one of the three guitars that remains of a unique partnership between Fender and The Rolling Stones. This magnificent guitar is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the executive at Fender that oversaw the unique guitar and directly obtained the guitar from the Fender showroom, as well as a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
