From the collection of Rickie Lee Jones, the original cover proof for her 10" EP "Girl at Her Volcano" released in 1983. The original artwork used was created by Jones and it was an homage to Malcom Lowrys "Under the Volcano". According to Jones, this is the only known surviving artwork from the creation of the EP cover. In Rickie's own words "This was my own art, chalk and ink, lost in the trunk of a rental I left on La Brea coming from the airport. This is the closest thing to the original, meant for us to double check, sign off. It sat in my drawer for all these years, from mine to yours." signed and titled on the verso. Measures 11.75 x 15. Very good condition. Comes with a detailed handwritten and signed letter from Rickie on her stationery and a a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
