Incredible Alice Cooper signed "Welcome 2 My Nightmare" custom limited production 2011 Fender Standard Telecaster guitar created by Fender. With serial # MZ3163753, this “Welcome 2 My Nightmare” this promotional guitar is one of only six ever made. Signed by Alice Cooper, this was created for Universal Music and never sold at retail. Accompanied by a rare “Alice Cooper” promotional mask to celebrate the album’s launch. a concert program and DVD. The story of this fantastic guitar is as follows: in 2011, Universal Music contacted Fender to help create a promotion for Alice Cooper’s “Welcome to My Nightmare 2” release. The Fender Custom Shop team determined that they should incorporate the distinctive album art where it appeared that Alice was in fact tearing through the album cover. To leave the guitar body open for his signature, Fender created a full color rendition on the pick guard of each Fender Telecaster. According to the label, there were only a total of six of these created for special promotions that included KLOS in Los Angeles, an on-line partner, and a few major retail accounts. Fender hand delivered the guitars to Alice’s rehearsal studio in Burbank where he autographed five of them, with the sixth being autographed separately at a KLOS radio station event. The guitar was never offered to the public. The original prototype was autographed and kept in the Fender Custom Shop showroom. In excellent condition, this guitar comes with a letter of authenticity from the executive at Fender that oversaw the guitar's creation and obtained it from the Fender showroom, as well as a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
