In his early days Elton John (Then Reg Dwight) worked as an office boy at Mills Music publishing, he then became one of their main session musicians in their studios singing and playing on many demos of tracks written by their artists, well here is two previously unheard example. Offered here is the double-sided acetate of 2 previously unheard and unreleased tracks of “Friend of Mine/ Here’s To You”. On Friend of Mine, Elton John is singing and playing piano. The track is roughly 3 minutes long. The track never got released and is the only acetate in existence of it. On Here’s To You, Elton John is duetting with an unknown male singer while playing piano. The track is also roughly 3 minutes and has never been released, with this being the only acetate in existence of it. Owning any unreleased Elton John music is incredible and it is amazing to think these demos are what started Elton John’s young career. This acetate came directly from the Mills Publishing Library. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
