It was released in 1981 by Warner Bros. in the United States. Despite mixed reviews from Rolling Stone and other critics, the album peaked at No. 4 on the US Billboard 200 and No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart. "You Better You Bet" was the first single released from the album; its music video was one of the first music videos aired on MTV in 1981, and was the first to be repeated on the channel.
