The "Three Tenors," Luciano Pavarotti, Plácido Domingo and José Carreras have each beautifully signed this 10 x 8 color photograph in silver paint pen. "The Three Tenors" is the name of the collaborative concerts given by these legendary operatic tenors, who are considered three of the most brilliant talents in the history of opera. The trio began their collaboration with a debut concert on July 7, 1990 at the ancient Baths of Caracalla in Rome as a way for Domingo and Pavarotti to welcome their colleague, Carrera, back to the world of opera after his successful treatment for leukemia, and to raise money for Carreras's foundation. Performing worldwide, from Los Angeles to Paris to Yokohama, the trio delighted opera fans and created new opera fans with their thrilling performances together. The opera world has been in mourning with the death of Pavarotti on September 6, 2007, due to illness. The trio will no longer be able to perform together; however, their magnificent performances can still be heard in their brilliant, highly successful, recordings. Matted and framed. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity.
