An original poster for the "Celebration of Woody & Marjorie Guthrie" concert hosted by actor Tim Robbins and held at New York City's Webster Hall on October 17, 2007. Performers that evening included Billy Bragg, the band Brad, Steve Earle and Pearl Jam's Stone Gossard. The event was a benefit concert to support the Huntington's Disease Society of America, and honored the iconic folk singer Woody Guthrie, who died of the disease, and Woody's second wife Marjorie who founded the Society. Marjorie was also Arlo Guthrie's mother, another icon in the realm of folk music in his own right, who carries on his father's legacy to this day. The disease also claimed the lives of two of Woody's daughters by his first wife. The poster has been signed in black sharpie pen by host Tim Robbins and several of the performers including Billy Bragg and Stone Gossard. Framed. Measures 18 x 24. Very good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
