Clark Gable has signed and inscribed the inside page of this 1939 edition hardcover copy of Margaret Mitchell's "Gone With the Wind" as his famed character Rhett, writing, "To Dorothy, My best wishes for your happiness, Always (Rhett) Gable". Signed by the actor who brought the dashing character to life in the famed movie that same year in black fountain pen. This edition of the book was published in 1939 by MacMillan and Co., Ltd., London. It is fully intact, hardcover book, without the jacket. There is some light spotting on the pages and the cover shows some wear but the title on the spine is clear and legible and the pages are intact. Measures 6 x 2 8.75. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
