This is a DW Snare Drum that was originally owned by Cornell in 1990. Chris Cornell loaned it to band member and drummer Matt Cameron in 1991. Matt Cameron used the drum heavily on stage, but most importantly, used the drum as part of his kit to record the hit song “Hunger Strike” by The Temple of the Dogs. The gold drum kit also appears on the "Hunger Strike" music video. There are two drumheads that are included in this lot, one was for the recording of the album, the other was for stage used and used on the Music Video. The snare drum still has the tape label when they tracked the song. The line-up at the time consisted of Eddie Vedder, Matt Cameron and Mike McCready. Funny enough, the bands next project became known as “Pearl Jam”. This was the start of one of the greatest bands in rock history. Cameron later returned the drum to Cornell, to where Cornell gave the drum to longtime friend Chris Bond. Comes with a letter of provenance from Chris Bond and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
