The beautiful signature of New York Yankees great Mickey Mantle signed on a salmon color 3 X 5 card is accompanied by an incredible 11 X 12.5 original photograph taken during the sixth game of the 1962 World Series played against the San Francisco Giants at Candlestick Park on October 15, 1962. Mantle swings his bat in a different direction, photographed as he kneels before hitting the ground with his bat in frustration. The photograph is date stamped on the verso with an attached news clipping that appeared in the newspapers on the following day. The Yankees proved to be the powerhouse once again in defeating the Giants in this seven game World Series following the season in which he hit with the second highest batting average in his career. Mantle widely regarded as one of the best players to ever play baseball, was distinguished with many honors throughout his career including winning the Most Valuable Player Award three times and becoming the only switch-hitter to ever win the Triple Crown Award (1956). Mantle's 18 World Series homeruns still stands as the all-time record today. Excellent condition. Guaranteed to pass James Spence Authentication (JSA). Comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
