This is a vintage Shea Stadium Police Officer Badge worn by officers who worked at Shea Stadium during the early years following the opening of Shea in 1964 where it became home to the New York Mets baseball team and the New York Jets (AFL/NFL) football team. Having handled several of the highly prized Police badges from Yankee Stadium that date to the 1950’s, it is worth noting that this is the first such badge that we have ever seen from Shea Stadium. Very good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
