This 23 page contract rider for Bruce Springsteen's Born In The U.S.A. tour, summer, 1985 has been boldly signed by Springsteen on the last page in black felt tip pen. The purpose of this extensive rider was to "….assure the Purchaser, the Artist, and the audience the most professional performance situations possible." To that effect, the rider give detailed directions regarding every aspect of the concert, from permits needed, reasons for cancellation, advertising, the selling of tickets, seating, security, stage size, power requirements, the list goes on and on! Also includes catering directions, the food and drinks to be provided in Springsteen's dressing room (as well as the kind of furniture), and the foods to be available for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the crew.
