Elvis Presley's owned and tour ornate "treasure box" The golden box with ornate carvings was given to Elvis by a fan. Measuring approximately 8.5 x 6 x 7, the treasure box comes from the personal collection of renowned booking agent and promotional manager Irwin Pate. For over four decades Irwin Pate promoted talent all over the United States and internationally. During his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers, including Elvis Presley. Irwin worked with Elvis and his manager Colonel Tom Parker several times in the 1970's. After Elvis passed away, the Colonel gifted Irwin some articles that had belonged to Elvis, including this ornate box. According to the Colonel, a fan had given Elvis the box, and later on Elvis gave it to the Colonel. Good condition. The treasure box has been in the possession of the Pates up to the time of this auction. Irwin Pate passed away in May of 2018, and this treasure box comes with a letter of provenance from his wife Clarine Pate on Pate Booking Agency letterhead. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
