Def Leppard lead singer Joe Elliot has handwritten the studio session notes on official Windmill Lane Recording Studios Stationary. Def Leppard recorded part of their legendary “Hysteria” album at Windmill Lane Recording Studios in Ireland back in 1987. Joe Elliot handwrote the studio session writing, “Gods of War, Women, Ring of Fire, animal, Love Bites, Run Riot, Don’t Give me Love and Affection, Excitable, Armageddon, Rocket, Hysteria, Touch, Shotgun and Fractured Love” in black felt pen. Elliot also labeled the times of when the songs were recording during the session. Partial proceeds from the sale of this lot will be donated to the Baladi Foundation, an animal rescue organization that works with and supports animal rescuers in Egypt to save homeless cats and dogs who are abused or are in need of immediate help on the streets. The foundation was co-founded by Miriam Barendsen, Rick Allen's girlfriend throughout the 1980's, who was in the car with Rick when the tragic accident occurred resulting in the amputation of his arm. The funds raised by the Baladi Foundation are used in many ways to help the vulnerable Baladi animals in Egypt including: Purchasing of food, providing financial support for on-the-ground organizations and other volunteers, sterilization (spaying and neutering), veterinary care, adoption and fostering, awareness campaigns, field operations, animal ambulance service, relocation of animals to countries outside of Egypt.
