Gutzon Borglum, perhaps the most influential sculptor in American History, signed this personal letter which is framed with the original envelope. Borglum created the original design of Mt. Rushmore, and oversaw it’s 14-year construction along with his son Lincoln. He also worked on several other famous political works such as a bust of Abraham Lincoln that was displayed by President Roosevelt. Borglum worked until his death at the age of 73, when he suffered a heart attack shortly after the completion of Rushmore. Letter measures 6” x 9” and frame measures 22” x 19”. Fair condition. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
