Baseball legend Buck O’Neil signed this Kansas City Monarchs jersey with a black felt pen. O’Neil was a dominant force in the Negro Leagues from 1937 to 1949, playing first base and winning the Championship in 1942. HIs legacy off the field is what cemented him as a historic figure in the sport, as he became the first African American coach ever in the MLB, and he worked post-retirement to found the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City, Missouri. O’Neil was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom — the nation’s highest civilian honor — in 2006 by President George Bush. Very Good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
