Hall of Fame and National Champion jockey John Longden signed this note with a blue pen, inscribing it with the note “Best Wishes.” Longden is best known for winning the Triple Crown in 1943 with Count Fleet, only one of 13 horses to achieve that feat. He was nicknamed “The Pumper” by his peers, and he jockeyed many other of the premier thoroughbreds of his day before retiring to become a trainer. Measures 3 x 5. Very Good condition.
