John H. Trumbull, the 70th Governor of Connecticut, signed this appointment of Fred D. Chase to the State Board of Voting Machine Commissioners on July 1, 1927. Trumbull was actually not related to the former Trumbull Governor of Connecticut who played an integral role in the state and countries’ forming. Instead, he was the son of Irish immigrants and was a prominent businessman. He founded Trumbull Electric Company, an esteemed member of the First Connecticut Infantry and rose to the rank of Colonel. When he was elected Governor in 1925, his primary goal was balancing the state budget. Measures 16” x 10.5”. Good condition. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
