President Franklin Roosevelt, the 32nd President of the United States who won a record four presidential elections serving in Office from 1933 until his death in 1945 signed this letter typed on White House stationery made in response to Father Wadhams, an influential clergyman in the Anglo-Catholic and Roman Catholic church. Voicing strong conviction, Roosevelt writes, “…you have vindicated the highest social implications of Christianity in action. The charges uttered are deplorable. Their most serious import lies in the fact that they echoed the feelings of reactionary groups heard elsewhere but which should have no voice in the convention of a great diocese” Signed in black fountain pen. Good condition. Dry mounted on thin cardboard 6.875 X 8.875. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
