Sheriff’s deed agreement signed by future US President Grover Cleveland during his tenure as Sheriff of Erie County, New York dated May 24, 1872 regarding a property sale on April 30. Cleveland served as sheriff from 1871 to 1873. Following public service as the Mayor of Buffalo, New York and Governor of New York State, Cleveland was elected 22nd and 24th President of the United States (1885-1897). 8.5 X 14, four-sided document, folds in four panels to 3.5 X 8.5. Other signatures include the Notary Public for Erie County and the Erie County Clerk’s Office. A rare representation of Grover Cleveland’s signature. Very good condition. Comes with a James Spence Authentication (JSA) Letter of Authenticity and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
