Jimi Hendrix owned and worn brown suede long sleeved, button-down shirt. From the collection of Clarine M. Pate, the wife of renowned booking legend and promotion manager Irwin Pate. Irwin, who is deceased now, had a long career in the entertainment business (he is perhaps best known as the promoter and manager of James Brown), and he and his wife obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. Irwin knew Jimi Hendrix in the late 1960's and Irwin promoted and booked talent in many of the venues that Hendrix performed in. They traveled in many of the same circles. The shirt is in very good condition and it comes with a letter from Clarine Pate on W.A.C. Entertainment & Pate letterhead. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
