Bob Dylan owned and worn custom leather tooled hat circa early 1970's. From the personal collection of renowned booking agent and promotional manager Irwin Pate. For over four decades Irwin Pate promoted talent all over the United States and internationally. During his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers, including Bob Dylan. Irwin worked with Bob Dylan in the late '1960's and early 1970's, Irwin was with Dylan the night he wore this hat before and after a stage performance, and he obtained the hat that evening. Dylan is known for wearing interesting hats, and this one fits right along with his style. It has remained in the Pate's collection up to the time of this auction. Very good condition. Comes with a letter of provenance from Irwin's widow Clarine Pate (Irwin passed away in 2018) on Pate Booking Agency letterhead and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
