Janis Joplin owned and worn long-sleeved purple velvet top. From the personal collection of renowned booking agent and promotional manager Irwin Pate. For over four decades he promoted talent all over the United States and internationally. During his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers. Very good, vintage condition. Comes with a letter of provenance from the late Irwin Pate's wife, Clarine Pate, on Pate Booking Agency letterhead and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
