ZZ Top bass player Dusty Hill signed & played this precision bass extensively throughout the “Gang of Outlaws” 2012 tour. The bass is completely custom and never was available to the public. It was made by Fender on 12/13/2011. Dusty Hill was one of the founding members of ZZ Top and was a member of the band up until his death on 7/27/2021. The bass shows a lot of wear and one of the only known bass guitars played by Dusty Hill we have ever seen. The guitar comes from longtime ZZ Top Bass guitar tech Ken Gordon, who was their bass tech from 2010-2020. Dusty Hill can be seen in numerous photographs playing this guitar. The guitar comes with a letter of provenance from Ken Gordon, a letter of authenticity from Fender Guitars and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
