Marilyn Monroe's personally owned copy of the book "Look Who's Abroad Now" by Earl Wilson. Marilyn's initials "MM" are handwritten on an inside page. According to the letter accompanying the book from Marilyn's ex-husband, famed playwright Arthur Miller, Marilyn received the book from Earl Wilson after she appeared on his radio show. Marilyn can be seen in numerous photographs with the book taken by Earl Wilson during the interview.
Miller recounts how after Monroe expressed interest in the book, Wilson gave it to her following the interview. There are numerous handwritten annotations in the book done likely by Monroe's hand.
Miller states that Marilyn left the book behind in the Roxbury, Connecticut farm that he and Marilyn lived in and that he found the book in their shared book cupboard weeks after she had left. He says the pictures in the book fascinated Marilyn and that they often spoke about visiting the places mentioned in the book.
Good condition, the hardcover book shows some wear. Marilyn is pictured here with the book. Comes with the letter from Arthur Miller as well as a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
