This is a reproduction of Marilyn Monroe’s July 1, 1956 Certificate of Conversion to Judaism. In 1956, Monroe converted to Judaism in order to marry playwright Arthur Miller, who had left his wife of 16 years to wed Monroe. Monroe’s conversion to Judaism was a significant moment for the Jewish-American community. Since she did not have a family growing up, Monroe was eager to join Miller’s so she happily converted to be with him. Monroe and Miller’s marriage lasted from 1956 to 1961 when they divorced. It was her third and final marriage. Good condition. Measures 13.75” x 11” and matted to 14” x 11.25”. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
