From the personal collection of Charles, the model for Robert Mapplethorpe's famous "Charles Torso 1985" photo sessions, this is a black and white 8x10 work print of this famous photograph "The Torso" from a 1985 limited edition of ten (10) 24 x 20 prints ( M1985 Robert Mapplethorpe shot "The Torso", page 143 Whitney Museum catalogue ISBN # 0-87427-060-X © Bulfinch Press). This work print was given to Charles by Mapplethorpe at his 23rd Street studio between 5th and 6th Avenues. Overall very good condition, with some light glue/tape remnant on the lower left corner on the white border. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from in which he states that Mapplethorpe gave him the print and details his photo sessions with the famed photographer who in turn made into one of the most famous art-photography models of all time. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
