This is Mark Jay’s original 1977 artwork for the “Sex Pistols – The Story So Far” that is comprised of three pieces. Two of the pieces are felt pen and color pencils on card strips, each initialed “MJS”, one dated 1977 and both framed 8.5 x 29 and 33.5 x 24. The framed pieces are accompanied by a poster mounted on board to measure 30 x 22. This is commonly known at the “cartoon poster’ and was commissioned by Warner Brothers for the U.S. release of the Pistols’ album, “Never Mind The Bollocks Here’s The Sex Pistols.” It was used for store displays and sometimes in press racks and promotional copies of the album.
