An extremely rare and highly collectible "Adventures of Superman" screen used vintage Admiral Radio that was also owned by the actor Jack Larson who portrayed Jimmy Olsen in the famed 1950's television series. Larson owned the radio circa 1952-58. This radio was actually used in the production of the TV show and was used in many of the episodes including "Panic In The Sky", "The Face", "The Voice", "Man in the Red Mask" and various others! This screen used Admiral Radio, "America's Smart Set", with Model Number 6C22N bears Jack Larson's name handwritten on the bottom, the handwriting may be in Larson's own hand. The radio originally came from the personal collection of Hollywood prop master George Bahr who subsequently gave it to Harry Wetzel who worked for the Minnesota State Fair, doing the payroll for the acts. He gave the radio to Jane Wetzel who was the "Headless Lady" at the Minnesota State Fair. Jane gave the radio to her nephew (who was Harry's son) about 20 years ago and told him to hang onto it and take special care of it because it truly was a piece of iconic TV history. It was kept in the family ever since then, and taken care of meticulously. The radio measures 12.5 x 8 x 5.5. Excellent working condition. Comes with a letter of provenance from Jane Wetzel's nephew (Harry Wetzel's son) and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
