New York Yankees legends Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez have both boldly signed this Yankees jersey using a black sharpie pen. The signatures lie just below the "NY" symbol, and the jersey comes framed in a stunning display. Jeter and Rodriguez played besides each other at shortstop and third base respectively during their mutual tenures as Yankees, and even won a World Series together in 2009. When Rodriguez came to New York in 2003, he was the subject of much fanfare. He was one of the league's brightest stars but had taken money over a solid chance of winning by leaving the Seattle Mariners to sign a mega-deal with the Texas Rangers. As a shortstop himself — and one of the best defensively — fans didn't think he could coexist with Yankees cornerstone Derek Jeter. However, he ceded shortstop to "The Captain" and moved to third baseman. While Jeter was loved for his quiet, humble off-field persona, Rodriguez was quite the opposite. The two clashed in the dugout during their time together as Yankees, but ultimately Rodriguez and Jeter helped end the Yankee's short drought and recaptured the championship together.
