MLB pitcher Orlando Hernandez signed this photograph of himself delivering a pitch on the mound using a blue fiber-tip pen. The autograph reads “O Hernandez 26” and says “DUKE” underneath. Hernandez wore the number 26 for the Yankees, and his nickname — El Duque — is Spanish for “the Duke”. Hernandez joined the big leagues in 1998 and was a part of the Yankees World Series Team. This display features the signed photograph, a World Series ‘98 Yankees Team Card of Hernandez, and a plaque with his name, number, position, and team. Hernandez went on to win two more World Series with the Yankees in 1999 and 2000, and then won another with the Chicago White Sox in 2005. In 1999, he was also named the ALCS MVP.
