Stunning and weighty Karl-Heinz Rummenigge soccer (football) medal 3 INT. WANDERTAG, SV NERSINGEN awarded in 1980 recognizing Karl-Heinz Rummenigge who is a German football executive and former professional football player who in 1980 enjoyed one of his most triumphant seasons winning the 1980 European Championship as a member of the West German National team. Playing with Bayern Munich (1974-1984) Rummenigge had his greatest career success where he won the Intercontinental Cup, two European Cups, two league titles and two domestic cups. He was also honored twice as European Footballer of The Year!. Rummenigge was also part of the squad that finished runner-up in the 1982 FIFA World Cup and the 1986 World Cup. Very good/ excellent condition. Measures 5.5” long and 2.75” wide with the heavy medallion (2.75” square hung in a diamond shape) cast with the facial figure and name of Karl-Heinz Rummenigge hung from a ribbon attached to the pin bar dated and titled with a painted enamel soccer design including the figure of Rummenigge wearing jersey number 11.
