Free frank letter written by Enos T. Throop dated 1811 from Auburn, New York where he had served as postmaster and the year in which he was appointed county clerk of Cayuga County. Admitted to the bar in 1806, Throop served a s a lawyer, diplomat and the tenth Governor of the State of New York. Throop’s signature appears twice, signed on either side of his letter. Unfolded 13 X 8. Fair condition with a quarter size hole in the center of the letter.
