American politician and 64th Attorney General of the United States Robert F. Kennedy signed this letter dated August 30, 1965 using a black steel-tip pen. The letter is typed and written to Mrs. Sylvia Kamen regarding her son’s service in the United States Army and his request to be relocated. In 1965, RFK was serving as a Senator for the state of New York. RFK’s brother — John F. Kennedy — was elected President of the United States in 1960, and RFK served as the youngest cabinet member in U.S. history when he was appointed Attorney General at the age of just 36 years old.
