From the historic Apollo 11 mission - the world's first manned mission to land on the moon - these are two small sections of the Kapton polyimide Foil that was affixed to the Command Module to protect the spaceship and its crew, Astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin (the first humans to set moon on the Moon) and Michael Collins. The silver side of the foil was outward facing and exposed to Space to protect the spacecraft. The backing is gold colored and affixed with an adhesive to the Command Module. Comes with a certificate from Sandy Clarkson of The Right Stuff, Inc. and a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
