Stunning signed and inscribed calling card from famed American literary icon bearing his monogram from Samuel L Clemens, signed and dated, “Truly Yours S. L. Clemens, Mark Twain, Dec. 24/80,” in blue fountain pen. The 5.25 X 3 card is accompanied by its original mailing envelope. Clemens adopted Twain as his pen name, from a term associated with the measurement of water depth on riverboats like those he spent so much time traveling, piloting and writing about along the Mississippi. His classics like, "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" and "Huckleberry Finn" are required reading more than 100 years following his death.
