An original concert handbill for The Who's March 10, 1968, concert at the Exposition Gardens in Peoria, Illinois, signed on the reverse side in blue ballpoint pen by all four members of The Who: Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, John Entwistle, and Keith Moon. Daltrey added "Cheers" above his signature. BOLD, LARGE SIGNATURES - as big as we have seen on a piece signed by all four together. The poster/handbill measures 6" x 9" (larger than a normal handbill - it was likely used more as a poster). With minor wear to the edges and a noticeable spot that shows through front to back, as well as a small stain the upper left corner. Creases from being folded evenly in quarters. Background on the concert: On March 10, 1968, all four members of The Who were in youthful, fine, destructive form when they performed in a glorified shed along Northmoor Road in North Peoria. That appearance, in the Opera House at Exposition Gardens, was part of a North American tour The Who launched in support of its album "The Who Sell Out". The concert was immortalized in "All My Loving" a 1968 music documentary aired on British television. The film includes scenes of the outside of the Opera House, on the grounds best known around there as the home of the Heart of Illinois Fair. With the Peoria Civic Center still 14 years from opening, Expo Gardens and the old Robertson Memorial Field House were Peoria's prime concert venues. On the video, some fine vintage-1960s automobiles can be seen in the Opera House parking lot. Inside the building took place The Who's second performance of the day, according to this source. Earlier that Sunday, the band played in Aurora.
