Sonny Bono "Sonny and Cher" 1970's stage worn faux brown leather costume vest. From the collection of Irwin Pate, a renowned booking agen tand promotional manager of over four decades. He promoted talent all over the United States and Internatilonally. White working with James Brown, and many others, Pate worked with some of the most legendary performers of the 19760's and 1970's. At that time, performers very often left behind clothing, costumes and personal effects, after they no longer needed them, and Pate had the foresight to save many of these items, amassing a large collection. VThis shiny faux leather costume vest was worn by Sonny Bono during a performance with Cher in the 1970's. Pate "rescued" the vest after it was left and it has been in the Pate collection since that time. Very good, vintage stage worn condition. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Pate's widow Carline M. Pate on the Pate Entertainment, Inc. letterhead stating that the vest was owned and worn by Sonny Bono, and a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
