From the Frank DiLeo Michael Jackson Collection, this is famed record executive Frank DiLeo's personally owned Prince & The New Generation "Diamonds and Pearls" original RIAA multi-platinum cassette and C.D. award that was presented to him. DiLeo, whose prolific career in the record business touched numerous artists, including several projects that he did with Prince, was best known as Michael Jackson's manager from 1984-1989, who won Michael's attention because of his pivotal work in the extraordinarily successful marketing of "Thriller". DiLeo was also co-executive producer along with Michael for Michael's film "Moonwalker" and came back to work with Michael on his2009 "This Is It" final concert series project that came to an abrupt end when Michael tragically died just prior to the first concert. Overall very good condition, this award has some light wear and measures 18.25 x 1.5 x 26. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity and a letter of provenance from the DiLeo family.
