Queen Signed Original Queen Produductions Ltg. Lloyds Bank Limited Checks.
A collection of three original Queen Productions Ltd. checks from Lloyds Bank Limited, London that have been signed by members of the band Queen. Two of the checks are dated 1976 and one check is dated 1975. The checks are signed by: 1. John Deacon and Brian May, 2. John Deadon and Roger Taylor, and 3. John Deacon and Freddie Mercury. Signed in black ballpoint and in blue ballpoint pen.
Queen, one of the most beloved bands in rock and roll history, led by the ultra-charismatic Freddie Mercury whose voice is considered one of the best, if not the best, in rock music, have been a global presence in popular culture for more than half a century. Estimates of their record sales range from 250 million to 300 million, making them one of the world's best-selling music artists. In 1990, Queen received the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001, and with each member having composed hit singles, all four were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2003. In 2005, they received the Ivor Novello Award for Outstanding Song Collection from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers, and Authors, and in 2018 were presented the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
Condition: Very good. Both of the checks dated 1976 gave a staple in the upper left corner and the check signed by Deacon and Taylor is endorsed on the verso by Leo Films Ltd. The check dated 1975, signed by Deaon and Mercury has three vertical creases where it had been folded evenly.
The two 1976 checks measure approximately 6.5 in x 3.5 in and the check dated 1975 measures 4 in x 8 in.
