From the collection of Rickie Lee Jones. Rickie Lee Jones has created two pieces of unique artwork on either side of 9 x 11.5 artist's notebook paper. One side features a self-portrait created by Jones in ink and pastel. She has inscribed song lyrics on the painting, She has written the first lyric above her head, "Across the galaxy" from her song "Company". The second lyric is written to the right of her head, "Diamond in the back" from a Curtis Mayfield song. On the other side, Rickie Lee has created a painting in acrylic, and hand-titled and signed: "The Dragon and the Spell Woven Sail." Rickie Lee kept this artwork in a drawer of her music sheet file cabinet for many years, and although it is very dear to her she felt it was time for it to go out into the world. Very good condition. Accompanied by a handwritten and signed note from Rickie on her stationery (and original envelope), in which she describes the artwork. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
