This is a rare and very desirable on-site fight poster to the Roberto Duran vs Davey Moore WBA Light/Middleweight title bout fought at Madison Square Garden (NYC) on June 16, 1983. Against the odds, the much older Duran who was also celebrating his birthday on this date, delivered a vicious beating of Moore forcing the New York Commissioner to enter the ring and instruct the referee to stop the massacre. Winning his third world title, the celebratory crowd sand “Happy Birthday,” to Duran upon winning his third World Title. The poster pictures both fighters as well as the boxers featured on the undercard, Gene Kid Hatcher vs Alfredo Escalera and Irish Billy Collins vs Luis Resto. 29 X 23. Very good condition with some staple holes on either side near the top of the poster from display and some barely visible light creasing in the body of the poster. Displays beautifully. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
