Making his major league debut in 1936 as a New York Yankee, DiMaggio went on to lead the Yankees to numerous championships throughout his 13 year career, during which he was selected for the All-Star team every year and was named American League MVP three times along the way. DiMaggio's record 56-consecutive-game hitting streak in 1941; remains one of the biggest if not the biggest baseball feats of all time.
