Bob Dylan Painting by Grace Slick

Jefferson Airplane's (and Starship) Grace Slick has titled this picture ‘B. Dylan...Zimmerman", portraying Dylan wearing a Star of David around his neck. Most likely reflecting Dylan's religious confusion in the mid-to-late 1970's when Dylan (whose real last name was Zimmerman), a Jew, became a fundamentalist Christian and preached the gospel with most of his songs during that era. Measures 19". 23.5", matted and framed to 30" x 34". Excellent condition. Estimate $17,000-$19,000.
