Elvis Presley's owned and used silver cigar holder that was given to him by NBC in in honor of his famed Comeback Special in 1968. The cigar holder is engraved "1968, Elvis Presley, NBC" on one side, and "1968 Colonel Tom Parker" on the other side. From the personal collection of renowned booking agent and promotional manager Irwin Pate. For over four decades Irwin Pate promoted talent all over the United States and internationally. During his career he and his wife Clarine obtained a large collection of personal clothing and articles belonging to numerous entertainers, including Elvis Presley. Irwin worked with Elvis and his manager Colonel Tom Parker several times in the 1970's. After Elvis passed away, the Colonel gifted Irwin some articles that had belonged to Elvis, including this engraved silver cigar holder. Very good condition, it has been in the possession of the Pates up to the time of this auction. Irwin Pate passed away in May of 2018, and the engraved cigar holder comes with a letter of provenance from his wife Clarine Pate on Pate Booking Agency letterhead. Also comes with a Gotta Have Rock and Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
