Could this jacket have been worn by Jackie Robinson or one of his beloved Brooklyn Dodgers teammates. Probably not, but this is a circa 1940’s original Brooklyn Dodgers warm-up style, dugout jacket. This vintage purple satin jacket from the Jackie Robinson era is labeled in the collar with a sewn manufacturers label “A ‘Richline’ Jac Official Brooklyn Dodger Jacket, Ebbets Field.” Ebbets Field of course was the home of the beloved Brooklyn Dodgers from 1913 to 1957. The zippered jacket has knit sleeve cuffs and waist. The front is adorned with the name “Dodgers” in their unmistakable script font sewn on in flannel letters. Good condition with apparent wear. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll Certificate of Authenticity.
