Beatles manager Brian Epstein gave this elaborate brown leather train (travel) case to Paul McCartney. Paul used this case extensively while on tour with The Beatles. There are salt and pepper shaker (with some salt that Paul used) drinking flasks, jars and a large compartment for clothes or whatever Paul would bring on tour with him. Paul gave this case, along with some of his other personal Beatles-era possessions, to famed boxer Evander Holyfield, and thus the case came from Holyfield's personal collection. The case bears Paul's initials in gold on the top and the top section contains various sized bottles and jars. All of the locks are unlocked and the case opens easily, the top lock appears to be broken as there is clear tape covering it. The main part of the case has a metal pin attached to the top pocket. The case is in well-traveled condition. The mirror in the top section appears to have water damage and the brown strap on the left that hold the top up is needs to be reattached. There is a brown fabric strip missing at the inside top of the top (above the mirror). An incredible piece of Beatles history. Measures 14 x 9.5 x 6. Comes with a Gotta Have Rock & Roll™ Certificate of Authenticity and a copy of the letter that Paul McCartney wrote to Evander Holyfield that accompanied the personal items he gave him, in which he mentions the train case.
